  • I’m glad I don’t have to cut my own mandrels
  • I can fill a kiln twice in one day
  • I can make small beads
  • Vintage purple is a great color
  • Etching makes beads so much more touchable
  • Copper green can be used with darn near anything
  • I’m not a fan of test beads, I’d rather commit to the unknown

  • I can sell sets
  • Sets make for a lot more extras
  • I should do more shows
  • Some people are just funny
  • Vintage purple works well with ivory and copper green
  • Etched copper green glows in a spacer

  • I can make sets
  • I sure hope people like sets with larger than average beads
  • Red copper green is so much cooler looking before it’s melted in- it starts red, melts to green and etches out nicely
  • I want one of the kilns that’s really long and I wouldn’t have to stack beads if I’m making lots of smaller beads
  • I feel guilty if I make a computer game do something I don’t agree with in real life- but I still like to virutally take over the world

  • Staying up late enough to empty the full kiln leaves a disappointing morning

  • Kronos on petroleum green is not as cool as I had hoped
  • I need to work on slowing down my clear application and not letting it scum- I loose too many beads to impatience
  • I want to make furnace beads
  • I don’t like reducing reduction frits
  • Checkerboard patterns on organics are not a good mix

  • Thick dipped mandrels crack more easily
  • When working a transparent - if you see a crack in the release form underneath the base of the bead, it’s time for plan B
  • If release breaks and curls up the side of thebead, there is little hope for the bead

  • I need to start hearts earlier next year
  • Marbles are addictive
  • Furnace marbles can be huge and huge fun
  • 2.5 inches looks like a lot in a marble
  • Organics with orange look ok in real life and terribly over contrasted in photos
  •  the front of the kiln is hot
  • Don’t try to twist off a broken bead

  • I am running out of mandrels- I must abuse them
  • I need to try more bead release formulas
  • There is very little as frustrating and working on the third layer of encasing on a bead and seeing a line for scum lay down on the bead
  • Silver inside a bead not treated exactly right can muck up encasing

  • It is still possible to have an entire kiln full of uglies
  • I can see invisible welding supply stores
  • Shards short cut- put the bottom of a hollow bead into cold water and wait for it to blow up into a large, thin bubble

  • I need to get the latest Glassline with Angelina Beadalina’s article on faces
  • I forgot how much fun hollows are
  • I need to work on realistic eyes and placing the white
  • Beads made completely of silver glass feel completely decadent
  • Hollows take up a lot of room in the kiln
