-overetching dark ivory makes it look dirty
-non-webbed intense black etched overpowers the rest of an etched bead
-dimpled holes on a really round bead are much more difficult
-great big round beads are probably heavier and bulkier than usably functional would allow

-I’d rather blame shakes on coffee than freaky occurrences
-Button pressing is a fun, two person job with little to show for it
-Stop torching when propane gets low to save aggravation
-Key lime can turn icky brown if mishandled- not sure what mishandling does it though
-Don’t use transparent flowers over a vine cane
-Selling my beads separately as focals works better for now
-Given the run of my overstock jar, most people pick beads I would not expect

-Layered, pressed florals give you at least 18 chances to screw up your bead
-SCIS are softer than SIS (C for copper- mushed them together)
-Secret sauce can be fun to experiment with
-I need to stop making beads so thick
-Silk ribbon makes for a quick and easy necklace

-Don’t forget to take an additional underarm swipe before using the white
-Black rods show dust even after three washings
-Transparents and opaques make different clinks
-Tear drop shapes are more difficult that they look to keep smooth and well holed
-big bead with thick encasing of known clear and a big clear with a thick clear encasing works well to confirm compatibility with a coe

-Make sure the heat doesn’t get directed at the mandrel instead of the glass
-It’s matching sets I don’t like, and small sets- I can do mismatched, larger sized sets
-Cleaning glass rods is almost therapeutic, cleaning rod shorts is torture
-One box of cut glass rods is 22 pounds
-Mr. Clean erasers will take the black goop off a soaked glass rod
-Intense black over and under silver gives a completely different look
-I like oval beads
-I hope there’s a market for reverse bicones, because that’s my favorite shape

-Using a towel to dull frit smashing noise also dulls frit smashing effectiveness
-N100 respirators are not sold at Lowes
-Auctions that are about to end at one insanely low bid are nerve wracking
-Incompatibility cracks can be heartbreaking
-104 vine cane encased in 96 glass can cause cracking
-My new white is pretty much unburnable (as in won’t soot, grey, pit)
-Thick rods should be kiln warmed or you may see a hole in the drywall when they pop
-I need to learn not to reduce old lauscha red
-I am not fond of consistency
-One bundle of glass is roughly equal to ten pounds of cut rods depending on rod length
-Rods are 40-48 standard length

-Some beads won’t photo well- so they should go in a new home wanted pile
-I should separate my not for sale beads into ones that are technically wonky, design catastrophes and nice enough non-sellers like my no photos please beads
-Owls may be mistaken for cats
-I know nothing about jewelry
-Making frit is fun
-Grinding rocks is fun
-I need more outlets
-don’t forget to heat that manatee tail

-Look for the inner creature
-Manatees without wrinkles look off kilter in a hard to pin down way
-Opal yellow, copper, opal yellow, copper green, intense black, copper, opal yellow – soup it up and press
-Two dot raised hearts look great
-Stop using reduction frit when everything else looks great
-Copper on ivory is not so cool
